Gentry Bundlie holds degrees in music performance from Western Washington University as well as her Masters in Music Performance from the University of California at Santa Barbara under Helen Callus.
Gentry has performed in symphonies all down the west coast including the Whatcom Symphony (WA), Juneau Symphony (AK), and Cambrian Symphony (CA). She is currently a violist in the Auburn Symphony in Auburn, California.
Gentry started with a strong classical background on piano at age 6. Within a couple years, she decided she wanted to also learn a stringed instrument. She instantly fell in love with the low, beautiful tone of the viola and then picked up violin shortly after. Gentry saw that her strong classical foundation taught her the technique and drive while she could explore other genres. After many concerts and Scottish highland games, she was fully committed to learning celtic fiddling and she has never stopped expanding her love of this world.
Gentry has taught private lessons for over a dozen years all over California. She has taken Suzuki Teacher Training Courses and loves using her real life experiences to help each individual student achieve their highest level of learning.
